A good original early post 1953 issue 'Royal Observer Corps officer's beret badge', die cast rich gilt example bearing laurel sprays surmounted by a Queen's Crown with 'Forewarned is Forearmed' scroll below, the voided centre depicting an Elizabethan coastwatcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon.
