WW2 Auxiliary Fire Service AFS firemans cap badge

A good original Second World War period 'Auxiliary Fire Service cap badge'; die-cast chromium plated eight pointed star, with red enamel 'AFS' lettering to the centre. Good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, no damage to the enamel, minor service wear.
Height 40mm.
In 1941 the 'Auxiliary Fire Service' and the local authority fire brigades were amalgamated to become the 'National Fire Service'.
