A scarce original die-stamped five pointed nickel silver star sleeve badge bearing 'SC' monogram to centre within a circlet inscribed 'Metropolitan Police 1914'. Very good condition, compete with original two loop fittings, one slightly bent.

Awarded early 1918 by the Commissioner for wear on the forearm for Specials who attested before 31st December 1914 and had served continuously since then. Discontinued in the 1920's.
