A scarce ORIGINAL post 1925 'Old Contemptibles Association' bronzed badge, the reverse with maker's details 'Toye & Co Ld London', 'Reg. No 726347' and stamped with official very low issue number '172A'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting.

The Old Contemptibles Association was founded by Capt JP Danny of the Royal Artillery on June 25th 1925, all members were known as "chums" and were the survivors of the First British Expeditionary Force of August-November 1914.
