A scarce original wartime period Royal Medico-Psychological Association Certified Nurse silver and enamel badge, the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 19242 and maker's details 'W.D&S.' (W.M.Dowler & Sons) and inscribed 'D.M.Brevan 45007'. Very good condition, complte with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
A scarce original 'Medico-Psychological medal' in the form of a unmarked silver cross, three arms embossed with 'Union Spray' representing the unity of England, Scotland and Ireland, a Rose, Thistle and Shamrock the lower arm engraved "December 1926; the central disc depicting the City of Birmingham Coat of Arms granted in 1889. The reverse inscribed in relief "Presented By The Birmingham Asylums Committee To Jenny Hennessy (engraved) For Gaining Certificate Of Proficiency In Nursing Of The Medico-Psychological Association Of Great Britain & Ireland". Very good condition.
A scarce original post 1974 'Central School of Psychiatric & Special Care Nursing, Muckamore Abbey Hospital Northern Ireland, nurse's qualification badge', chromium plate and enamel example, the reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Regent St Birmingham". Very good condition, retaing original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, enamel perfect.
A scarce post 1926 early 'Royal Medico-Psychological Association For Proficiency In Mental Nursing' nurses bronzed badge, the reverse inscribed "E. Williams". Very good condition, complete with old unused replacement blue silk ribbon this with raw edge.
