A scarce original circa 1953 to 1974 early issue period 'Birmingham City Police senior officer's cap badge'; die cast unmarked silvered Queen's Crowned eight pointed star, incorporating blue enamel title circlet, the voided centre bearing 'EIIR' cypher. Very good condition, complete with original two pairs of blade fittings, no damage to the enamel, minimal wear.
In 1974 the Birmingham City Police amalgamated with the West Midlands Constabulary to form the West Midlands Police.
A scarce original pre-1953 'Reading Police senior officer's cap badge'; die cast chromium plated Kings Crowned eight pointed star, incorporating title circlet inland with blue enamel, the voided centre bearing the arms of the 'Borough of Reading' a lined shield displaying five maidens' heads in relief. Very good condition, retaining original two loop fittings and pin to reverse, enamel perfect.
A scarce post-1969 'Royal Hong Kong Police cufflinks' gilded metal and enamel examples in the form of the forces badge, surmounted by a Queen Elizabeth II Crown. Housed in their original velvet lined presentation case with gold leaf badge details to the inside lid and inscribed "Gazetted Officers' Mess Royal Hong Kong Police". Excellent condition.
Queen Elizabeth II granted the 'Royal' prefix in 1969 to the 'Hong Kong Police Force' and it became the 'Royal Hong Kong Police Force' only to be removed in 1997 upon the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong to China.
A good original King George VI period 'Hertfordshire Constabulary helmet plate'; large blackened brass Crowned star the centre mounted with nickel "GVIR cypher within the title strap. Very good used condition, retaining original three loop fittings, blackened finish nicely toned and intact.
