A scarce original early pre war period 'Gorleston-on-Sea holiday camp badge'; star pattern chromium plated example, displaying a highly enamelled early representation of the camp, the reverse with large buttonhole fitting. Very good condition. Height 26mm. 'Gorleston Holiday Camp' was situated on Bridge Road, Gorleston on Sea, Great Yarmouth where people spent their summer holidays from the 1930's to the 1970's. It was closed during the war years and used as a military training camp. It reopened in 1946.

A scarce original post circa 1937 'Coronation Holiday Camp Hayling chromium plated badge'. in the form of a horseshoe, inscribed in relief 'KEEP ME and You Will Have GOOD LUCK', with an applied circular disc with raised blue enamel title surround, with embossed Crown to the centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect. Height 30mm. 'Coronation Holiday Camp Hayling Island' built In 1936, completed in the coronation year, sold to Warner Camps soon after.

'Seacroft Holiday Camp at Hemsby Norfolk' was established in the 1920s by Jack Bishop it pre-dated Butlins Holiday Camps. Seacroft was requisitioned by the Military armed forces during the Second World War re-opening again in 1946. Later it became part of the 'Pontins' group.
