Heybrook Bay Lido holiday camp badge Wembury Point South Devon

A very scarce original circa pre-war period 'Heybrook Bay Lido gilt and enamel badge', in the form of a small shield depicting a panoramic view of the lighthouse. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 20mm.
The Heybrook Bay Lido was a seawater swimming pool and holiday camp built at Wembury Point in Devon during the late 1920s and 1930s. In 1939 during the outbreak of the Second World War the Ministry of Defence requisitioned Wembury Point and closed the holiday camps.
