A rare original Second World War period 'Women's Emergency Land Corps home front badge'; gilt brass shield inlaid with green enamel depicting a crossed pitchfork and hay rake with the letters 'WELC' placed within the cross. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 25mm. The wartime organization 'Women's Emergency Land Corps' were formed from women volunteers who would have to work a minimum of forty eight hours on the farm land. Recruits included housewives, shop assistants and women in various other occupations.

A very scarce original short lived circa 1969 to very early 1970's period 'Womens Land Army LANRA pin bar badge'; good quality golden coloured chromium plated circular example, surmounted by a red enamel 'WLA' scroll, the centre depicting clasped hands on green enamel ground within outer band inscribed 'L.A.N.R.A' and mounted on a slim pin bar with roller catch fitting. Very good condition, no damage to the enamel. Height 23mm. Width 38mm. 'Land Army National Reunion Association' was formed in 1969 with requests for memberships very slow. The cost of the membership badge being 7/6d.

A rare original wartime period 'Women's Land Army Timber Corps beret badge', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'A Stanley & Sons Walsall 1-A'. Very good condition, complete with original two blade fittings, no fading, warping or distortion, an excellent example. Height 51mm. The 'Women's Land Army Timber Corps' was formed in 1942 to solve the increased demand for timber, they worked in the forests felling trees and also in the sawmills and wore identical uniform to the WLA except the felt hat was replaced by a green beret and Timber Corps plastic badge. They were disbanded in 1946.

Crowned gilded metal laurel wreath, bearing central wheatsheaf on a field of white enamel, within a title circlet inlaid with green enamelling 'Women's Land Army and Timber Corps', the reverse impressed 'Firmin'.
