A scarce original circa 1955 period 'The Rank Organisation 25 club badge'; fine quality silver example depicting the Gongman company logo inlaid in black and yellow enamel, the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1955 and maker's details 'F&S' (Fattorini & Sons Ltd.). Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
Height 18mm.

The Rank Organisation was a British entertainment conglomerate founded by industrialist J. Arthur Rank in 1937. It was defunct in 1996.

An original circa1935 'Up Narkover gilt and enamel pin badge'; small size shield, divided into four, depicting a pick, a shovel, handcuffs and prison uniform broad arrows; the reverse with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height 23mm.

This badge relates to the 1935 film 'Boys Will Be Boys' in which 'Will Hay who was a former teacher in a prison applies and becomes Headmaster of Narkover, a public school of roguery.
