A scarce original Edward VIII souvenir badge, produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place, in the form of a chromium plated Sceptre decorated with glass cut to resemble diamonds, with a figure of eight title scroll inlaid with red, white and blue enamel. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, one stone absent.

Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, minimal foxing, rust to reverse, minor scratches to front.

The obverse with Crowned bust right and title "Edward VIII King And Emperor", the reverse an allegorical figure of Britannia standing frontal, holding crown within a portico, River Thames, St Paul's Cathedral and battleship in the foreground, title "Crowned A.D. 1937"; complete with original display card inscribed "Coronation Souvenir" "British Made" and contained in a red, white and blue cardboard box, this with age wear and corner piece detached but present. Very good condition, complete with original ribbon and Crowned suspension bar with single pin fitting, this with minor verdigris.
