A scarce original '1914 Prince of Wales War Fund badge depicting the coloured united flags of Britain, France, Belgium and Russia on card insert within unmarked silver fluted surround, the reverse impressed with unusual maker's details 'TDP&Ss.Ld'. Very good condition, complete with original looped lapel fitting.

A rare original circa 1936 period complete set of silver spoons produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place; the front of each displaying the head and shoulders portrait of the future King wearing a Royal Navy cap and the bowl impressed 'Coronation Edward VIII 1937'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1936 and maker's details 'B.B.S.Ld' (Barker Brothers Silver Ltd). Very good condition, housed in their original velvet lined fitted case which is very good condition, outer red leatherette fabric shabby.

Edward VIII 1937 Coronation commemorative badges on display card

A scarce original Edward VIII pair badges produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place and preserved on its original card backing in the form of a patriotic enamelled 'Union Flag', the centre with circular recess which was designed to hold a plastic photographic head and shoulder image of the King, but sadly missing due to the fact that they were only lightly stuck in place. An additional chromium plated red, white and blue enamel 'Edward VIII cypher' stick pin badge accompanies this very colourfully printed display card inscribed 'Coronation 1937' 'Made in England'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, some age wear and creasng.

A scarce original fine quality Edward VIII gilt metal medal, produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place. The obverse with Crowned bust right and inscribed 'Edward VIII King And Emperor', the reverse an allegorical figure of Britannia standing frontal, holding crown within a portico, River Thames, St Paul's Cathedral and battleship in the background, titled 'Crowned A.D. 1937'; complete with original display card inscribed 'Coronation Souvenir' 'British Made' and contained in a red, white and blue cardboard box, this with age wear and corners split. Medal in very good mint condition, complete with original ribbon, Crowned suspension bar with single pin fitting and waxed paper envelope, gilt finish remains bright.
