A rare original circa 1936 period complete set of silver spoons produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place; the front of each displaying the head and shoulders portrait of the future King wearing a Royal Navy cap and the bowl impressed 'Coronation Edward VIII 1937'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1936 and maker's details 'B.B.S.Ld' (Barker Brothers Silver Ltd). Very good condition, housed in their original velvet lined fitted case which is very good condition, outer red leatherette fabric shabby.
