Royal Navy HMS Modeste cap tally ribbon tied in a bow 1944 - 1961

A scarce original early cotton issue 'H.M.S. Modeste cap tally ribbon badge'; gold wire embroidered lettering with small square dots tied in a sailors bow and ready for a cap. Very good condition.
HMS Modeste was a modified Black Swan-class sloop of the Royal Navy. She was built by Chatham Dockyard during the Second World War, being launched on 29 January 1944 and commissioned in 1945. She served with the British Far East Fleet, and took part in the Suez Crisis.
