WW1 Royal Naval Division RND Anson Battalion cap badge issued 1916 to 1918

A scarce ORIGINAL First World War period 'RND Anson Battalion die-stamped brass other ranks cap badge' in the form of the crest of Admiral Anson, (Earl of Lichfield) resting on ribbon scroll 'NIL DESPERANDUM' (never despair) with ANSON scroll below; the reverse with applied manufacturer’s 'J.R. GAUNT LONDON' tablet and typical spearhead strengthener. Good used condition, complete with original two loop fittings.
