HMS Protector Royal Navy Antarctic patrol vessel penguin cloth badge 1955 - 1968

A scarce original vintage period 'H.M.S. Protector silk embroidered felt cloth badge' large size possibly for a blazor depicting a naval crown roped edged circle, the centre depicting a flightless aquatic bird in the form of a Penguin; the reverse with black paper covered hessian lining. Very good used condition.
Height approx 117mm.
