The Trio is accompanied by a Royal Engineer Victory Medal awarded to '282429 SPR H LIGHTFOOT RE', again complete with an original silk ribbon.

DM2/118125 Private William Gordon Lightfoot was from Liverpool his trade on enrolment was given as a Pawnbroker. He volunteered on the 25th August 1915 and embarked to Egypt on the 7th November 1915. He remains in the Middle East throughout the war and is noted as serving with 597 MT Company of the Army Service Corps, attached to the 26th Division. Returning to the UK he was released on the 25th April 1919.

Sapper Herbert Lightfoot, is believed to be a family member who embarked to France after the 1st January 1916 and was awarded to the BWM & VM.
