Killearn Hospital N.S.U.1952 silver qualification badge Scotland

A very scarce original 1952 period 'Killearn Hospital N.S.U. silver and enamel qualification badge', the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1952, maker's details 'V&S' (Vaughton & Sons) and inscribed 'J.R.K 1960'. Good condition, complete with old replacement pin fittings, enamel with service wear.
Height approx 29mm.
Killearn Hospital Scotland was one of five commisioned in 1938 in preparation for the war and completed in 1941 just in time for the Luftwaffe bombers air raids in and around Clydebank, the town was seriously damaged as were the local shipyards. The hospital was closed in the early 1970’s.
