Boy Scouts Silver Wolf Neck Award 1958 Officers Medal

A rare ORIGINAL 1958 period 'Boy Scouts Silver Wolf officers neck award', the underside impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1958 and maker's details 'D.G.C' (Sir D.George Collins London). Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon, minor flaw to front lower leg.
Height approx 38mm.
From 1910 to 1912 the Silver Wolf was awarded to any King's Scout who had gained 24 proficiency badges.
From 1912 to 1921 as well as gaining the proficiency badges the King's Scout had to perform some notable deed, gallantry etc.
After 1921 it became the highest Officer's award.
