Cardiff County Superannuation & Benefit Society Victorian Badge Wales

A scarce original pre 1887 Victorian period Welsh historical interest 'Cardiff County Superannuation & Benefit Society badge', ornate gilt example bearing embossed blue enamel title surround, the top centre displaying a shield from the 'Cardiff City Arms' depicting a rampant Dragon supporting in front of a Leek a Flag Staff charged with three Chevrons; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Tutill London' (1817–1887). Very good mint condition, complete with early style circular buttonhole fittings, no enamel loss, gilt finish remains crisp.
