Roxburgh County Special Constable police badge Scotland

A scarce original pre -1930's period 'Roxburgh County Scottish Special Constable lapel badge'; gilt brass example bearing blue enamel four part title circlet surmounted by a Victorian style Crown, the rayed centre with embossed shield displaying a 'Unicorn' below a hunting horn between two 'Esquires' Helmets'; the reverse impressed with unusual maker's details 'Fattorini Glasgow' and official very low issue number '14'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole horseshoe style fitting, enamel with few nibbles to right and lower scroll, gilt finish remains bright.
