Chelmsford City Football Supporters Club Badge c.1960's

A scarce original circa 1960's period 'Chelmsford City Football Supporters Club badge', gilt brass shield in the form of a white and red enamel shield inscribed 'C.C.S.C.' and depicting a wheelbarrow which originates from a legendary FA Cup tie in 1939, where the Supporters' Club famously brought a wheelbarrow full of footballs onto the pitch for their Fourth Round game against Birmingham Football Club. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no enamel loss.
