O.H.M.S. Burys 1915 Sheffield On War Service Badge

A scarce original First World War period 'On His Majesty's Service Burys Sheffield tool manufacturers war service identification badge'; economically made white metal circular example impressed 'O.H.M.S. BURYS 1915 SHEFFIELD WAR SERVICE' the letters enhanced with black paint. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, service wear to black infill.
Diameter approx 32mm.
Burys & Co Ltd. Sheffield transferred production to support the war effort, they made metal plates for the anti-bullet tankers face mask and chain-mail skirts for tank crewmen amongst other essentials.
