Royal Mail Lines Shipping Company Committee Badge

A good original circa post 1932 period 'Royal Mail Lines pin badge' large gilt metal blue enamel title surround, the companies red and white house flag to centre on blue enamel ground, ribbon scroll 'COMMITTEE' below. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or enamel loss, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example.
Height approx 38mm.
This creditor-driven committee managed the liquidation of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company in 1932 and formally created Royal Mail Lines Ltd. to take over the viable assets and continue operations.
