Glider Pilot Regimental Association Silver & Enamel Pin Badge

A rare original vintage period 'Glider Pilot Regimental Association pin badge'; small enamel example the top displaced by a George VI Crown, the centre depicting an eagle with spread wings resting on 'GPR' blue enamel scroll; the reverse impressed 'SILVER'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact.
Height approx 28mm.
The Regiment was formally inaugurated on the 24th February 1942 as part of the Army Air Corps which then comprised the Glider Pilot Regiment, the Parachute Regiment and the Special Air Service.
