City of Birmingham Deputy Divisional Warden A.R.P. Badge

A rare original Second World War period 'City of Birmingham ARP pin badge'; small blue enamel titled horseshoe, joined at the top by the Arms of Birmingham, the central embossed plaque inscribed 'DEPUTY DIVISIONAL WARDEN'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Marples & Beasley Birmingham'. Very good condition to the front, the reverse has had the lapel fitting removed I would say at the time and replaced by period pin fittings, no enamel loss.
Height approx 27mm.
