Highcroft Hospital Birmingham RMN Trained Nurse Badge

A scarce original circa 1980's period 'Highcroft Hospital
Registered Mental Nurse silver plated pin badge' in the form of a cross over blue enamel oval title surround, the centre depicting the Arms of Birmingham; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham'. Very good mint condition, complete with original pin fittings, with safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect, an excellent example.
Height approx 37mm.
Situated in Birmingham it was originally named 'Aston Union Workhouse', renamed 'Erdington House' and then 'Highcroft Hall Hospital' in the early 1940's, later to become known as 'Highcroft Hospital' until in 1996 when it was closed.
