WW1 B.R.C. & ST.J.J British Silver War Medal

A rare original First World War 1914 -1918 full size silver War Medal warded to 'A.J. WHITE B.R.C. & ST.J.J' British Red Cross & & Order of St John.
Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon.
Arthur James White of Reading volunteered for service with the British Red Cross in January 1915. He is confirmed as serving overseas and was awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal.
He is also recorded as serving at Netley War Hospital near Southampton where is noted as a Hospital Orderly, one of his jobs being the unloading of wounded soldiers. He was discharged in 1919.
