Primrose League Jubilee special anniversary badge

A rare original 'Primrose League Jubilee pin badge' in the form of a light blue enamel gilt five pointed star, rainbow title scroll above and Primrose League emblem to the centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.O.Lewis (Badges) Ltd B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
Height approx 27mm.
The motto of the 'Primrose League' was 'For God, King and Country'. The League was formed in 1883 to maintain Religion, the Constitution and the British Empire. Its whole purpose was to make the world better to live in and to foster above everthing else that love of Country which is the basis of true patriotism.
