Able Seaman Charles Richard Tozer of Bristol a plumber by trade is confirmed as serving with Collingwood Battalion Royal Naval Division which he joined on the 29th September 1914. He embarked with the 4th Bn and was interned in Holland for a short time returning to the UK in December 1914. Transferring to a Medical unit he was posted to Hood Battalion and served at Gallipoli from the 2nd June to the 29th September 1915 when he was evacuated to Hospital in Malta. Returning to the UK in June 1916 he was released from the RND and returned to sea duties with the Royal Navy.
