Jas Blackledge & Sons Ltd Army Contractors Serving The Empire Badge

A very scarce original First World War period 'Jas Blackledge & Sons Ltd identification gilt brass war service badge' in the form of a blue and white enamel title surround, the seeded centre depicting embossed clasped hand within 'SERVING THE EMPIRE'; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'THOMAS FATTORINI BOLTON' (opened in 1903 at 5 & 19 Knowsley Street). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel.
