WW1 G Scammell & Nephew Ltd 1915 On War Service Badge

A very scarce original First World War period 'G Scammell & Nephew Ltd On War Service 1915 identification gilt brass badge' in the form of a blue enamel title surround, the seeded centre embossed with company title; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'H.B.Sale Ltd B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Diameter approx 26mm.
Formed in 1837 by George Scammell in Fashion Street, Spitalfields, London to build and repair carts and vans, also selling and maintaining Foden Steam Wagons and small trucks.
