British Transport Police railway helmet plate badge c1962 - 1970

A scarce original circa 1962 to 1970 period 'British Transport Police helmet plate badge' in the form of a die stamped blackened brass Queen Elizabeth crowned star the centre mounted with a chromium plated title circlet, the central shield depicting wheels, water and Portcullis. Very good condition, complete with original three loop fittings, minimal service wear, minor black paint loss to top right point.
Height approx 114mm.
