A scarce original circa 1930's period full size 'The Royal Society of St.George For England Order'; fine quality ornate unmarked gilt and enamel example, the centre mounted with 'Saint George and the Dragon' device, suspended from blue enamel suspension title bar by a cream silk ribbon with Red Cross and gilt rose. Very good clean condition, complete with original single pin fitting, minor red enamel defect to cloak, .

The Royal Society of St George was founded in 1894, with Queen Victoria as first Royal Patron, followed by the patronage of every reigning monarch upto Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
