Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve Wireless Telegraphist R.N.V.R.WT sweetheart brooch

A scarce original circa Second World War period 'Royal Navy Volunteer Wireless Telegraphist pin badge' in the form of a pair of gilt wings displaying light blue enamel lightning flash to centre, dark blue enamel title scroll 'R.N.V.R.W T' below mounted on mother of pearl disc. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to enamel scroll, smal nick to lightning flash.
Height approx 27mm.
This style of brooch is normally classed as a ladies sweetheart brooch, but has been noted in a vintage period photograph worn on a gentleman's lapel.
