WW1 Battle of La Somme Province of Picardie France pin badge

A scarce original First World War 1916 period battle brooch, ornate gilt brass Province of Picardie enamel town crest surmounted by castle turrets and 'Picardie' scroll, mounted on circular hoop bearing blue enamel ribbon scroll 'LA SOMME'. Good condition, minor wear, complete with original pin fittings, replacement pin now with rust and needs careful handling, enamel intact.
Height approx 27mm.
