Royal Air Force RAF Station Bahrein pin badge

A scarce original circa 1953 to 1963 period EIIR period 'Royal Air Force Station Bahrein gilt and enamel badge', depicting a 'Dhow sailing vessel' with Latin motto 'In Sole Laborate' (Work in the sun) the reverse without maker's details but with all the characteristics of a 'H.W.Miller'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height approx 34mm.
Established as RAF Bahrein in 1943, the airfield was renamed RAF Muharraq in 1963 and finally closed 1971.
