Women's Royal Naval Service WRNS sweetheart brooch

A scarce original Second World War period 'Womens Royal Naval Service gilt and enamel sweetheart badge' in the form of a small 'Naval Crown' fouled anchor, the topmost ring a 'Jenny Wren' and to the base a W.R.N.S. scroll inlaid with blue enamel. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 27mm.
