Salop Motor Club members pin badge Shropshire c.1940's
A good original circa 1940's period 'Salop Motor Club shield gilt and enamel pin badge'; blue enamel title surround, the centre with an embossed blue enamel shield bearing three Leopards faces from the County Coat of Arms; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Christian Jeweller Oswestry'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no defects to enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example.
Diameter approx 23mm.
The 'Salop Motor Club' was founded in Shrewsbury in 1931 and initially focused on grass track racing and trials.
