5PY Plymouth Radio Circle BBC transmitting station badge

A very scarce original pre 1928 small gilt and enamel '5PY Plymouth Radio Circle badge' bearing a shield with the Plymouth Coat of Arms' and a transmission tower, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Hockley St (Birmingham) Ltd' (an address format used between 1919 and1928) and Registration Number '632818'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, enamel intact, gilt finish remains bright.
Diameter approx 19mm.
5PY began broadcasting from a lane near Derry’s clock on March 28 1924 and had a grand opening at Plymouth’s Guildhall.
