R.M.S. Laurentic White Star / Cunard Line hand painted enamel picture badge sunk 1917

A very rare original 1908 to 1917 period 'RMS Laurentic hand painted enamel ocean liner picture brooch' depicting the single funnel Steam Ship within a ornate gilt surround. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or enamel loss, minor surface scratches.
Height approx 26mm.
During the First World War in 1917 two German mines sank Laurentic off the northern coast of Ireland.
