A good original Second World War period 'Catholic Womens League For War Service at Home pin badge'; gilt brass circular example inlaid with blue enamel, depicting a white dove over the initials 'CWL'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Diameter 25mm.
The Catholic Women's League was founded in 1906 during the First World War the women ran huts and canteens to cater for the troops.
