A scarce original circa 1940's period 'On National Service engineering workers identification badge' in the form of a chromium plated white enamel Art Nouveau style design, the central stage inlaid with blue enamel with company details 'August's Limited Halifax'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham' and impressed with official issue number '104'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
