Hull City Special Constable 1914 police reserve badge

A good original First World War period 'Hull City Police 1914 Special Constable lapel badge'; gilt red enamel title surround, convex gilt button style centre with ornate embossed shield bearing three Ducal Coronets from the City Arms and inscribed 'Kingston Upon Hull'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, enamel intact but with some nibbles to rim and minor service wear, gilt finish remains bright.
