WW1 London & North Western Railway War Service numbered badge

A scarce original First World War 1914-1918 period 'London & North Western Railway badge'; gilt metal example bearing blue enamel title surround, Crowned 'Railway Service' to centre on white enamel ground; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.A.Wylie &bCo' and official issue number A 37638'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
