A good original full sized silver male warden 'Air Raid Precautions badge', designed by sculptor 'Eric Gill', made at the Royal Mint and authorised in February 1937, the reverse bearing London silver hallmarks for 1938 and maker's details 'J.C' (Sir John Herbert McCutcheon Craig, Deputy Master and Comptroller of the Royal Mint from 1938). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting with waxed paper protection and contained in red square cardboard box, this with two split corners and scuffs.
