A scarce original circa 1936 to 1949 chromium plated issue 'London & North Eastern Railway Police LNER senior officer cap badge'; chromium plated laurel sprays, with an applied company shield crest to the voided centre. Good condition, the reverse complete with original two loop fitting and split pin, minimal service wear.
Height approx 43mm.
London & North Eastern Railway Police formed in 1921, this example worn by Inspectors and above, in white metal until 1936 and then in chromium plated finish until 1949.
