A good original First World War period 'Silver War Badge official issue number 'B97151 '; unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. Very good condition, complete with pin fittings

Silver War Badge B97151 was awarded to 67936 Private William A.J. Lewis. He enlisted into the Army 2nd August 1917 and served with the Royal Defence Corps London District. He was discharged with the award of this badge on the 11th December 1917. He did not serve overseas and this is his only WW1 entitlement.
