1953 Womens League of Health & Beauty deco shield badge

A scarce original 1953 dated 'Women's League of Health & Beauty fitness movement pin brooch' large gilt and highly enamelled shield depicting an art deco dancing figure with the number '21' at the top point; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'H.W. Miller Ltd Branston St. B'Ham.18' and scratched 'MAIDENHEAD' 'PMP'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height 37mm.
'Women's League of Health & Beauty' fitness movement was established in the 1930s by Mary Bagot Stack. The leagues motto ‘Movement is life’.
