British Petroleum Tanker Company shipping line cap badge

A good original circa 1950's 'British Petroleum Tanker Company BP cloth cap badge', dislaying the House Flag of a St Georges cross with superimposed green diamond bearing a red lion rampant, set within a 'Merchant Navy Crowned' and gold wire bullion wreath, the reverse with black cotton herringbone lining, marks remain where it has been mounted for display, otherwise very good condition, bullion remains bright.
Height approx 68mm.
