Metropolitan Police GVIR cap badge by Dowler Birmingham

A scarce original circa 1936 to 1952 period 'Metropolitan Police cap badge'; chromium plated George VI crowned title circlet, GVIR cypher to voided centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'DOWLER BIRMINGHAM'. Good condition, complete with slider fitting, this deliberately curved to secure a snug fit, minor wear to central cypher.
